How to run old games and programs on Windows 7 Microsoft has released a patch to make Windows Vista and Windows 7 compatible with old games and programs. So, if you want to play old games or run old programs on Windows 7, you better download this.

Diablo 1, Halo 2, HAWX, HL1, THPS4, Doom 3, Warcraft 3 here we come (all supported now)


The list of old games and programs that are now supported is really long, kudos to Microsoft, so first of all, here are the highlights.

Some of the old games that are now supported are Doom 3 (1.0), Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, Halo 2, Half-Life, HAWX, Thief 2, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires III, Battlefield 2142 , Diablo 1, Myth II, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Bob the Builder, 3D Pinball, Evil Islands, SimTown, Monopoly and Lego Racers.

Some of the old programs that are now supported are Virtual PC 2007, Daemon Tools, LogonStudio Vista and Encyclopaedia Britannica.
