Everybody asks me "how to hack a email account" , generally they need it so tht they can hack their friend 's facebook account so i m writing this post "popular ways of hacking email accounts"
Here i willl discuss very basic ways of hacking email accounts:-
1)The first and very basic way of hacking email account is PHISHING .
Basically phishing is creating fake web pages to steal your important information like email,password,phone no,etc.
DRAWBACK:-Users are quite aware of these type of attacks and one cant be easily tricked using this attack.You need some social engineering to trick someone.
2)Keylogging:-
This is really good way of hacking local users(i mean you have physical access to their computer).
In this type of attack you simply install a keylogger on victim's pc.
keylogger is a really nice program that logs all the activities and keylogs in a text file on a specific computer and if somebody opens his email account the login data is saved into that text file.
DRAWBACK:-You need physical access to the computer of the victim or have to do some social engineering to trick someone to execute your keylogger.
3)Trojans/backdoors
This is a advanced level topic .It consists of a server and a client, an attacker has to send the infected server to the victim and if the victim executes that server ,he will be easily hacked by the attacker.The attacker can then easily connect to the victim 's pc using the client and then attacker can do ANYTHING he wants.
DRAWBACK:-You need physical access to the computer of the victim or have to do some social engineering to trick someone to execute your server.

4)Session hijacking:-
Another advanced level topic
It consists of sessions stealing ie cookie stealing.In this type of attack an attacker can steal victim 's session cookies and can login as the victim.
cookie stealing can be done using some php scripting and social engineering to fool your victim.
Another way of stealing cookies is sniffing on the lan network using some sofftwares like Cain and able,wireshark,etc..
Drawback of sniffing is that u can only sniff in local network ie you cant hack a remote person while you can hack a remote person using php scripts.
DRAWBACK:-If user is logged out then attacker is also logged out and the session is lost.
